24th Anniversary Family Walk-Run 2016

In the twenty-four long years since its founding, MODAIR MANILA CO. LTD., INC. has played a major role in the transformation of lives of employees and their families not just through provision of employment but through varied valuable structured activities.


To empower employees and their families, Modair celebrated its 24th Anniversary by holding a Family Walk-Run activity last July 10, 2016 in its goal to promote positive values and healthy habits through running, walkathon or jogathon while bonding with family and colleagues.


Assembly time started at 6:30pm where simple breakfast was provided for those who came early and those from far provinces.  Warm-up exercises with a combination of Japanese exercises and Filipino dances immediately followed in front of the building enjoyed even by very young kids and their parents.  At 7:30, everybody started the group walk-run with their own goals depending on the number of laps/rounds they chose in the route map.  Marshals, route attendants, nurses and Safety Officers were deployed in designated points to ensure safety of all participants.


After the walk-run, everybody partook in the Barbecue and Teppanyaki party arranged and stationed by the company in the building’s car park.  Overflowing pre-marinated meat, seafoods and teppanyaki noodles were made available so everybody was able to relish the fun of choosing the food they want and to grill it themselves at their heart’s and appetite’s delight.

Trainings: Grammar Review and Written & Spoken English

The company supports the development and enhancement of skills in different aspects of the employees’ career.


To further this advocacy, Modair arranged for the conduct of Training-workshops on Grammar Review as well as Written and Spoken English to all monthly personnel divided into 5 batches or schedules.   Ms. Aileen Cruz spearheaded the training using her Communication Skills Development Modules 1 and 2.


Last February 20, 2016, the first batch of participants were Department and Project Managers.  Head Office personnel were divided into two batches: one was on February 27 while batch 2 was last March 5, 2016.  For monthly employees from South site projects, there were two batches also.  First batch was last March 19 while the last batch was on April 2, 2016.


The training-workshop for employees yearns:

  • To improve skills in business communication and correspondences
  • To invigorate basic English grammar proficiency
  • To increase knowledge in the different styles of correspondence
  • To uplift professionalism in the different medium of communication like email, letters, reports, etc.
  •  Personal enhancement

Last March 17, 2016, the joint venture of Filinvest Land, Inc. and Cofely Philippines, a subsidiary of the Engie Group, a worldwide leader in Energy Efficiency and Environmental Services held the groundbreaking ceremony for a Php1.2B centralized cooling system that will supply 420, 000 square meters of office buildings with clean, cooling energy.


The groundbreaking ceremony was held at the project site, Northgate Cyberzone which is the flagship venture of Cyberzone Properties Inc. (CPI), Filinvest’s arm that seeks to create energy-efficient business environments with a campus-vibe.  Representatives of Filinvest and Cofely led the ceremonial groundbreaking.


Our very own General Manager, Mr. Makoto Numata, was one of the participants since Modair was chosen as the General Contractor for the said project.  Also present in the event were officials from CPI, Tractebel Engineering, Engie Services (Phils) and FLI.


The target completion date for the District Cooling System project is on April 2017.
